Meet Kelli Robinson
Hello! I’m Kelli Robinson, the founder and lead educator of the Roots and Wings Learning Circle. I’m delighted to welcome you to our homeschool pod, where we believe in nurturing both strong roots of knowledge and wings of independence for every child in our care.
My Journey
My path to creating this homeschool community has been shaped by a rich tapestry of experiences. As a business owner, I’ve developed organizational skills and a deep understanding of what it takes to build something meaningful from the ground up. These entrepreneurial experiences have taught me the value of creativity, perseverance, and adaptability – qualities I strive to foster in my own children and our students.
My work with medicinal plants has shown me that some of life’s most valuable lessons come from stepping outside classroom walls and engaging directly with the natural world. Working with healing plants has taught me something beautiful – some of the best lessons happen when we just step outside and get our hands in the soil. While herbalism remains a personal passion, it has deeply informed my approach to education and my belief in experiential learning. I’ve seen how connecting with nature nurtures curiosity and builds confidence in children. In our learning circle, we emphasize this direct engagement with the natural world, encouraging observations, questions, and discoveries that go beyond textbook learning. My background reminds me daily that there are many valid forms of knowledge and wisdom that conventional education often overlooks. This perspective helps me create a learning environment where children can develop a holistic understanding of themselves and their place in the world around them.
Most importantly, being a mother has been my most profound teacher. Watching my own children learn and grow has deepened my commitment to creating educational experiences that honor each child’s individual journey and natural curiosity.
